Marny is an experienced author, and is releasing her first book, Some Assembly Required: A Networking Guide for Women. co-authored with fellow networking expert Thom Singer. The book, published by New Year Publishing, will be released in August of 2008, and will provide women with:
- insight on how networking is different for men and women
- an understanding of what networking really is and why it is important
- an overview of how networking benefits women, regardless of their stage of career or life
- tips on how to use women’s inherent skills and styles to their advantage in networking
- enthusiasm and confidence to begin, build and maintain professional networks
- practical and effective skills and tools for networking
- a new way to look at networking for mothers
Some Assembly Required: A Networking Guide for Women is a practical guide packed with useful tips, specific techniques and relevant stories and examples. It was written so that every woman will benefit from reading it. Marny’s goal is to encourage women who are not active networkers to make it a part of their lives, and to help those who do currently network become even more effective.
Marny currently writes regular columns on networking for two women’s online communities, w2wlink.com and womenbloom.com.
